Hi dedicated fans,

There will be a new edition of Girl O’clock this evening! Are you stoked? I am! The music is getting a little repetitive without having a music library, but hopefully I will gain access to one very soon (♥ cjsw)! This week DJ The Hot Chocolate Kid co-hosted from the comfort of my living room couch.

Playlist will be posted soon, right now I’m busy listening to Gay in LA (♥ a-wol & diaz), drinking left over wine, and looking forward to listening Oblique Strategies tonight too (♥ crystal oh). Oh Lethbridge, I miss you.

Volunteering for Sled Island was a success, and I saw some good shows. Had to miss Yo La Tengo and Wire. Boo hoo. Seeing Jonathan Richman twice and BBQ puke on stage at Broken City almost made the heartbreak worth it. Watching people pile out of the Martha Cohen theatre during Deerhunter’s 45 minute psych jam with their this-was-supposed-to-be-over-half-an-hour-ago-let’s-hurry-to-go-see-Wire faces was pretty wild.

EDIT: eek, I guess Mr. Program Director decided to air a repeat.  A pretty old one with Architecture in Helsinki remixes and my own voice.  Here’s what I meant to play, anyway, it will likely air next week with Stephen Hawking hosting once again…

I’m back and I’m by proxy!  Moved to Calgary for the summer to take a break from Lethbridge and to take advantage of the starving job market.  I don’t have a microphone yet, DJ The Hot Chocolate Kid bought one that is ideal for public speeches and karaoke, hopefully I’ll be able to use that, but for now the show is voice-less.  Next one will be hosted by Stephen Hawking (who knew I’d find him hanging around 17th ave!).
